We are in the homestretch. In 3 more days it will be 2012, and so it only seems fair that we give you wrap-up pf the 2011 year. And what a year it has been, especially for free, good music. I am going to give this to you guys in three parts today, the 29th you get the best mixtapes of the year. Tomorrow the best songs, and new years eve you get the best of the years music videos. So without further ado, I present to you the best mixtapes of the year.
This year Mac Miller made his way to fame. Even as far as to make it to Forbes 30 Under 30 list. This was easily the most hyped and quickly downloaded tape, and it has some of Mac’s best work on it.

A pretty damn close second is a tape from The Dean’s List. This tape has been one of my most played tapes all year, and for good reason. The trio made big moves since they started, and this is without doubt their best work yet. Be on the lookout for Generation X as number 1 next year.

Radical Something has a way with their music that makes you want to listen. It’s addicting something about it just makes you want to head to the beach and have a good time. This quality made me pick this as our number 4, and besides, it’s damn good music.

All in all this album really brings you back with sounds, visuals and styles to the 50′s and 60′s in the best way possible. G-Easy is gonna blow up.
