  • Macklemore & Ryan Lewis – White Walls (Feat. Schoolboy Q & Hollis) (Video)

By Mason Strehl on September 9, 2013
Anytime Macklemore and Ryan Lewis say that they're going to release a new music video, you can be pretty damn sure that it is gonna be a full cinematic experience. Today he dropped his newest video for one of my favorite tracks off The Heist titled 'White Walls'. Now I know you all have listened the shit out of that album, but for the purpose of this video Macklemore and Ryan Lewis have decided (as they did on 'Can't Hold Us') to lengthen the Cadillac-loving song with a little bit of mexican flavor. The video set spans the west coast with (of course) a emphasis on Seattle. The video clip starts out somewhere in the desert and heads to Seattle, stopping at Seattle's iconic Dick's Drive-In burger, and lastly they head to TDE Schoolboy Q's neck of the woods in LA. But Q isn't the only other rapper there, we got cameos from A$AP Rocky, Trinidad Jame$, Wiz Kalifa, Big Boi, DJ Drama, and Sir Mix Alot himself. Oh, and we got Hollis on the chorus and she does an amazing job. The depth these guys go into with videos is just insane. Now quit reading and press play.

  • Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Interview

By admin on October 10, 2012
When I met Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, it struck me just how real and down to earth these guys were. Most artists are very distant from their music and its effects, and when you see them, you feel they are in a whole different class than you or me. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis connected to people in a way that not many artists can; they didn’t hide behind a facade of money or music, they thrust their individuality at you. What I saw was just two guys who did what they do for one purpose: to live life and enjoy every moment of it.

This is a little track that Tony Williams dropped last friday, and it couldn’t have made my friday any better. On this track titled Blazin’ High, Tony got a lineup featuring Wale, Emilio Rojas and everyone’s favorite Macklemore. The production is done by Oddz N Endz, who creates an interesting synthy, pop track. The whole crew flows over this one with [...]
