  • The Kings Dead – Don’t Need Much

By Mason Strehl on November 4, 2013
The Kings Dead has been silent for a minute now, but they are back with a new track! Titled 'Don't Need Much', this track brings back the days of old school Dean's List with a Kardashian vibe. Those of you who have been following The Kings Dead for awhile know what I'm talking about. The track is based around a minimalist Mendoza beat, which Sonny kills. He lays down his fast paced rhymes around a simple but meaningful chorus which caries a single message - he doesn't need much to be content. Supposedly we might be getting a new track every monday throughout November, leading up to a Utopia EP release sometime. Check this track out below.

The former The Dean’s List members have created a more mature sound in their music, expanding past the college music scene to appeal to a much wider audience. The multi-fauceted group is not only taking on a new sound and new production style, but also producing video’s [...]

  • The Dean’s List – Ruby Red

By admin on September 4, 2012
Immediately upon playing the play button on this video, I was struck with how different it sounded. The Dean’s List is post revolution, changing its name to “The Kings Dead” as part of their new cultural movement. The group is going through an experimental stage and trying out some new music styles. I must say, I am a fan (you [...]
